About Sebastien "Atom" Christie: Sebastien Christie is an artist, music producer and entrepreneur from Virginia. He began his career producing for local hip-hop artists, with a musical background already under his belt. In 2007, he began his work with Bliss FM, an alternative hip-hop group that eventually gained great notoriety in the area. In 2008, he began outsourcing production as Produced by ATOM. In 2009, he co-founded VISION the Label. Sebastien Christie grew up in a European family, which contributed heavily to his unique sound. His sound is considered hip-hop with a lot of melody and unique rhythms. Bands like The Clash and the Police made Christie fall in love with music at a young age.Having grown up with a passion for jazz, punk, and eventually hip-hop, Christie was well in tune with some of the most significant artistic movements of the 20th century, hoping to one day create his own. Sebastien played guitar his whole life; his first beats were made on digital performer with manually chopped drums and samples, and whatever guitar/synth/bassline he could come up with. Despite the inconvenience of it all, he seemed to have found the area of music in which he could truly experiment and do whatever he wanted, without having to compromise with any conflicting ideas. Since then, Christie has been honing his craft as a producer, working with notable artists around the country, but more importantly, striving to create greatness back home.
His music production company Produced by Atom uses innovation, technique, and creativity, as they strive for new formulas to create music. The concept behind the name is one of the fundamental concepts of the universe and its cycles: everything is a building block, beginning with the smallest thing we know, atoms. So that seems like an appropriate name for a company whose mission is to always build something unique through a combination of creative ideas.
