About Black Sunn: This 20 year old East Baltimore rapper is an up and coming lyricist who does not focus on the negative aspects of his city, and choses to instead illustrate the positive through dope rhymes and beats. Black Sunn released two mixtapes in 2009, Born Alone Die Alone and GodSound, and released an EP on ’09 and ’10, The Sunn is Black and Sol Parables, respectively. With four projects in less than two years, all for free download, it is easy to see that The Black Sunn has the motivation to shine in the rap game. When asked what motivates him as an artist in an interview with The Find Magazine, Black Sunn replied, “My passion. I mean it’s always been that way & I doubt it will stop..I’ve always loved music and I’m gonna create it until I die and become it…”
The Black Sunn was awarded “Best New Artist” at the 2009 Baltimore Crown Awards and is currently working on a joint album with another B-More MC 810, entitled United Division, as well as another solo album. Both albums should be out late 2010-early 2011.
