About Boobe: There’s only ONE WAY for Rapper Boobe and that’s all the way to the top of the Hip-Hop charts and the music game. Boobe (who’s real name is Roger Vincent) is a Washington DC native aka “The District” where he was born and raised; this is where he hit the ground running and earned his degree in the school of hard knocks. With a line-up of Boobe, The Young Farmers (BDR, Knight Rider, Mac Milli, & Lil Dutch, Don Choo, and Smash Task, One Way is exposing the world to a missing element in the rap game. Boobe is well on his way to becoming a well know force in the rap game as an artist and entrepreneur ready to make the whole world go nutz with his new single “Can’t Deal Without Da Money”.

In “The District” Boobe has set his sights on giving DC its own identity as a key player in creating the sound that distinguishes the South from the North. In the late 90’s Boobe discovered rapping as a mere hobby, in retrospect he didn’t realize how far it would take him, but he never looked back on his pursuit to success. To escape the street life, several years later Boobe pursued his vision to start his own label; One Way Records where he presently acts as the labels CEO and an artist in his own right. Ironically, the name of the label was tagged as a reminder of the one way street he lived on; where he started out with a set of turntables, tape deck recorder, one mic, and a CD with instrumentals. One Way Records became incorporated in 2002. Long time friend, Dollar Bill introduced Boobe to his group member from Smash Task, Don Choo, who along with Dollar Bill, were both awaiting releases from RCA records. The following year they performed together at a mutual friend’s event and agreed on future collaborations. Don Choo joined One Way Records as vice president a year and a half later with experience as an artist once RCA relinquished all urban acts and would bring his professional experience to One Way Records. This was the beginning of developing the One Way Family.

He won over a sizable following in the DC area after releasing “One Way Up,” in September 2003; an album declared an instant, certified classic with street credz and fans galore. The “One Way Up” album featured 17 songs, eight of which remained in regular rotation on XM Satellite Radio. The album reached Billboard charts three times and #2 in the country on XM Satellite Radio’s 66 Raw channel. Their success with an instant classic sold over 5,000 LP’s according to Nielson Sound Scan and over 5,000 independently outside of retail stores.

Following several successful underground mix tapes and independent releases, the young-go getter was grinding as part of the DC- based label he founded; now know as Oy Bozy Records. After other members came on board, they collectively decided to change the name of the label to Oy Boyz Reocds in 2005 (formerly One Way records). Being focused, driven and motivated are the key ingredients to the future success of Oy Boyz Records. Selling well sold over 10,000 LP’s independently, reached the Billboard charts, performed in shows with major notable artists like Juvenile, Slim Thug, The Neptunes, Lil Wayne Paul Wall, Pastor Troy, DJ Cannon and the Geto Boys just to name a few, has been featured in respected publications such as Don Diva, FEDS and Streetz, received spins on established urban broadcast radio stations up and down the East Coast and conquered XM Satellite Radio in less than 2 years.

With his crank beats and a hardcore sound Boobe motto is to stay FOCUSED with his sites on the future; he recently released one of his latest singles titled “When Money Talk People Listen” a masterpiece of work. His newest single “Can’t Deal Without Da Money” will prove to be a commercial hit on radio and in the clubs and showcase his creative versatility. Boobe has had national/regional success with “Focused” which expresses the desire to focus on being successful without the distractions of outside forces that will steer him away from his goals. Other singles released are “Diamonz”, “Lookin”, and “We Shittin on Niggz”. Their next project, “The Movement”, is a DVD featuring all of the One Way family; it will also include collaborations with Juvenile, Outlawz, and Paul Wall. Boobe is currently in the studio recording his next much anticipated album to be released later this year. The Young Farmers will also be releasing M3: Music, Money, and Moves, later this year for their solo album. Don Choo will be releasing a new album this fall. New artist to look for are R&B singer Miss Kim CEO and Founder Boobe says, “In the next five years I want everyone who is involved with One Way Records to be well off, I want to us all to embrace the entrepreneurial spirit.” With over 200,000 views of their videos on Myspace, Youtube and thousands of friends to support their fan base.
