About Cyriz Da Viruz: Jermaine" Cyriz" Fontanelle originally hails from Landover, MD and was raised in Capital Heights, MD. A very talented child whose sole devotion in his life was music and art. Age 4, he was playing Beethoven Sonatas on his G-ma's piano. Age 10, making t-shirts and customizing portraits was a most high for him. Freashman year of school, he was destroying freestyles cyphers in Friendly Highs bandroom, where the "Viruz" was born.
A quick punch line became his name and stucc with him...so did the crowd.. J's "Star Power" got around to the local scene gaining him radio interviews and an appearance on underground hip hop show "Willie Green-the Scene."
Cy began recording tracks outside of his market such as California's Donnel" One-Eye" Sanders and Texas-based label Hidden Records. When he returned back to MD, he was introduced to a new label, home and family: Topp Dogg Hill.
Infa Redz, CEO of Topp Dogg Hill found a young Cy and saw much potential in him, Infa labeled Cyriz as the Hill's SECRET WEAPON amongst his arsenal of artists.
From endless shows (including opening up for DJ Unk and Lil' Boosie) and winning multiple awards as a whole, da Viruz definitely proved to Infa & the rest of the DMV that he is a force to be reckoned with.
To date, C has released several projects that were met with critical acclaim and led to media coverage in many DMV outlets: Project-Blakk Crakk; CBC(Cyriz and Byrd Connection); Maurdaland-Rippin' 301, and a high placement on Coast 2 Coast Mixtape:Vol. 58. This grew him attention from station WKYS,WPGC,WPFW,WKSH da Beat, and a very high profile article in the Washington City Paper.
