D Mayjah: Drum Mayjah aka D Mayjah was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Atlanta. He has been in music since elementary school and throughout his school years. His mother only listened to oldies such as Motown, Stax,etc where he began to replay songs on instruments. Rap really wasn't allowed in his household but he became lucky when his mother liked RUN DMC (You be Illin') and Kool Moe Dee (Wild Wild West). But it wasn't til one day in 1988 when he found a Walkman on the ground with a NWA cassette Straight Outta Compton and from that point he realized he wanted to rap. Throughout the years of exposure to the rap culture he began to embrace the West Coast culture and their style of music. Living in the South and listening to oldies he began to understand the elements of music. It wasn't until listening to a Three Six Mafia album World Domination that he wanted to produce music.
