About Jon Berrien: Jon Berrien is a Midwest kid, originally from Ohio, he grew up there, went to high school there, and attended Bowling Green State University (also in Ohio)…basically he was your typical Ohioan. That is until he moved to Los Angeles in 2007, leaving everything behind except his Midwest charm.With a Bachelors degree in Communications he started his career working at E! Entertainment television. While at E! he learned the essentials of the industry and started up his own company a web-based music show titled Groundsounds, in which he hosted, edited, wrote, and produced. Transitioning from E! Jon moved on to the TV Guide Network, where he worked on the daily entertainment television show Hollywood 411. While at TV Guide Jon refined his hosting skills, gaining access to red carpets, and interviewing Hollywood’s elite. Working under tight deadlines, Jon excelled and sought further career growth with Hollywood’s leading breaking news source TMZ. Working under managing editor and lawyer turned journalist Harvey Levin, Jon started breaking stories and became an on-air correspondent for TMZ. While at TMZ Jon gained extensive knowledge of media coverage and production, and shortly thereafter took the ultimate leap for success, and started pursuing hosting and entrepreneurial venture’s full time. Now in the DMV, he is pursuing his entrepreneurial adventure Groundsounds.com full-time. Groundsounds is an online lifestyle magazine that is dedicated to music, art, and culture.
