D.C. police have identified the woman slain outside a Northwest Washington strip club as 40-year-old Candance Reed.
Reed, of Washington, and a man were stabbed shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, in front of the Macombo Lounge in the 5300 block of Georgia Avenue NW in the Brightwood area, police said. Reed was taken to a hospital where she died. The status of the injured man, who was also taken to a hospital, has not been released.
According to NBC4, the woman used to be a dancer at the lounge, and was there to attend a birthday party. There was an argument with a man at the bar that led to the deadly knifing outside.
Police on Friday were reviewing surveillance tape and searching for evidence near the front of the establishment and a red car that was parked outside with the engine still running.
The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
