AB The Producer is an accomplished music producer, rapper and singer hailing from the Southeast section of Washington, DC who graduated from Ballou Senior High School class of 2006. In 2003, through the efforts of a close friend, AB was lucky enough to watch Kanye West laying tracks at Sony Studios in New York City. This encounter inspired him to step up his game in pursuing his dream of also becoming a producer. AB quickly began working with aspiring artists that had talent and the drive to succeed, and from there his hard work began paying off. AB has worked closely with Kenny Burns (former Rocafella VP) to become an in-house producer with Studio 43. He has produced for Raheem Devaughn
(Jive Records), Wale
(Interscope Records) and Marky (Universal Records). AB is producing in a league of his own, and years ahead of his time. In his own words: “I’m sick when it comes to music”. He believes that people gravitate towards his music, because it impacts them on so many levels. One of his goals is to set an example for young people who are interested in music by helping them realize it is not easy out here, but you can change your life through music.
