About CL9UD: Born and raised in Texas, Dre Neely, aka CL9UD, is the youngest of two brothers in a military family with strict views, guidelines and beliefs. A bit ruthless and rebellious as child and young teen, mainly brought on by harsh treatment from peers, Nine wasn't exactly a favorite among people that knew him. The harsh emotional stress brought on by all of this led to the discovery of his one outlet, Music. CL9UD's rich mid-to-high soulful croon, combined with the unique blend of vocal harmony, scatting, and other vocal sounds makes his sound distinct and uncanny. His image is a bit dark and mysterious, to shadow the pain and struggle that is brought to light in his music. Now based in the D.C. Metro Area, CL9UD is working with and building an indepedent label and has just began to record professionally.
